Tuesday Trivia: Answered!

How well do you know your Gustavus landmark history? This aerial photograph was taken around 1934 (so the answer is “B”).  Some of the buildings in this photograph are: the White House, Commerce Building, Old Main, Johnson Student Union, Auditorium, Uhler Hall, and the Water Tower.

This is a picture of Commencement in 1905 in the old Auditorium. Though the location of commencement exercises has changed, and graduating class size has changed,the feeling of elation is still there!

Factoid Friday

Did you know…  that daily chapel had been required attendance for all Gusties each day? This rule was changed after the completion of Christ Chapel in 1962. This is a snapshot of a chapel service in the old Auditorium before the completion of Christ Chapel in 1962.
