Blast from the Past!

This photograph from 1908 features four women doing homework in their room in Johnson Hall. Johnson Hall was badly damaged in the 1998 tornado and had to be torn down. For more awesome photographs visit the Gustavus Adolphus College and Lutheran Archives Digital Collection.

View from the Hill

The mile-wide F3 tornado ripped through campus uprooting 2,000 mature trees, damaging almost every roof on campus and shattering 80% of the campus windows.
