Gustavus touted one of the first programs for teaching athletic trainers in the state. For 30 years, the hands-on and rigorous major has been keeping athletes focused and physically ready for the next event. This photograph shows student athletic trainers working with Gustie athletes circa 1987.

Gusties take learning to whole new places―literally. Daniel Jackson ’10 is pictured here volunteering in a hospital in Cusco, Peru. Service to others is at the core of Gustavus’s mission. Whether Gusties are traveling abroad or in St. Peter, students are always active helping others and learning from the experience.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art is located in the lower level of the Jackson Campus Center. Open to the public with free admission, the Museum showcases local artists and student works as well as other collections, including a Rodin Exhibit in 2009.
