GUSTIE LINGO (the secular language of Gusties):
PLEDGE- The substance-free lifestyle group on campus. Students can either live in substance-free housing or can sign up to be at-large members.
Pledge – The process of joining a campus Greek organizaton (formly called rush). Res Life- Residential Life Office, which oversees the residence halls and staff.
SSC- Anderson Social Science Center, an academic building on campus, currently scheduled to be remodeled, which used to be the Library.
FTS- First Term Seminar, required writing intensive course that every first-year student takes.
The Arb- Linnaeus Arboretum, the place to go to relax and enjoy nature.
The ‘Brar’ and the ‘Lib’- The nicknames of the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library.
