Gustavus just can’t celebrate 150 years without talking about the legendary “Rock.” The boulder has been a staple of campus for as long as anyone can ever remember. Eager pranksters have tried to move it in the past, but it has been a steady graffiti-filled symbol that allows students to advertise, commemorate, and celebrate all events, from Greek pledging and Homecoming to marriage proposals and sanctioned (and non-sanctioned) campus events.
