“Student protest finally found its way to the Gustavus campus last weekend, subversive though it was. Picking Parents Weekend as the most opportune time to complain to “influential persons” about something, this time the already overworked food system, some subversive (or subversives) painted the following sign on the front of the stadium: “Parents, Help!!! GA food stinks!!!” Never ones to hinder a good cause, administrators (namely Deans Butler and Johnshoy, and Development Director Bob Peterson) pulled maintenance crews off their appointed rounds to dress up the sign with yellow crepe bunting. “I know where the crepe paper came from,” stated Dean Butler Tuesday, “and I must say I had something to do with it.””- Warren Beck ’67 in the Weekly October 22, 1965
