Established in 1990, the Swenson-Bunn Teaching Award is awarded by the Student Senate. This award goes to an outstanding teacher at Gustavus and is voted on by the Student Senate, with nominations from the student body. The award is named for sophomore Greg Swenson and first-year Holly Bunn, who both were members of the 1988-89 Gustavus Student Senate, died tragically in a car accident caused by a drunk driver.
