Words of Wisdom Posted on December 14th, 2011 by

“I guess what I’m trying to say is that, despite all of the things I don’t like about Gustavus, I feel proud to be a part of the bubble. […] Whether it’s the faculty and friends or the famed mission statement, I feel that the $17,000 odd dollars I now owe to the government was worth it. I’ve learned a language, learned to analyze another, and produced 65 issues of The Gustavian Weekly. The changes that take place in all of us over the course of our time in college are unexplainable. I never thought I would have a boyfriend during college, much less be married; and let’s face it, no one ever plans to be a Scandinavian Studies major. However you’ve molded me, whoever you are, thank you. Each of us is a product of our college years. I’m happy to say that I feel pretty darn good about the person I am after spending time with you. I’ve developed my philosophies and my self, and will look back on Gustavus with fond memories.”                                        Emily Johnson Mamun ’03 Gustavian Weekly  May 9, 2003
