Hunger and Homelessness Week is an action/awareness simulation for the plight of the homeless. Students and teachers participate in a “sleep out” where they do not go back to the residence hall to shower, to eat, or to sleep. They sleep outside in boxes and eat only food that is given to them. This event coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Week. Students, pictured here in 2010 with Professor Richard Leitch get ready to curl into their boxes outside Christ Chapel on campus.

It is so fantastic that Gustavus has such a sense of activism on our campus!
